Dr. Naledi Pandor’s address in Parliament
|
In an historic and impactful parliamentary briefing in Ottawa organized by Justice For All Canada, Dr. Pandor addressed 30 members of parliament and senators from across party lines, alongside representatives from leading humanitarian and human rights organizations. Speaking to her role and personal experience during South Africa’s anti-apartheid struggle and her government’s response to the genocide in Gaza, Dr. Pandor provided a direct account of state responsibility and advocacy to an audience of Canadian elected officials and policymakers. The program offered a rare opportunity for the Canadian government to engage with, and hear directly from, an established voice on accountability for global atrocities.
This included an address at Parliament Hill where she spoke to government and civil society leaders about South Africa’s genocide case against Israel. |

We are grateful for Dr. Pandor’s leadership and the Government of South Africa’s courage for backing her case at the International Court of Justice.
