Indian-administered Kashmir and the greater Himalayan region is witnessing glacial melt occurring at twice the global average, mass deforestation, river pollution and exploitative resource extraction.

The severe environmental damage is an inevitable consequence of the Indian state’s settler-colonial policies. Justice For All Canada has been warning the global community at United Nations platforms since 2023 that an environmental genocide of the Kashmiri population is underway through deliberate state policies. ​
