Canada’s Military Trade with Israel
April, 2025
This report highlights the urgent need for Canada to impose a complete two-way arms embargo on Israel, amid growing findings of Israel’s violations of international law. This would necessitate cancelling the million of dollars worth of active military export permits, closing the loopholes of weapons transfers to Israel through the U.S. and halting military purchases. Canada has previously imposed a two-way arms embargo against Israel in 1987 as a result of violence against Palestinians. A list of some current military transfers to and from Israel is attached as an appendix. |
